Kuwait's 11-year-old table tennis team wins the girls' doubles gold medal at the West Asia Championship in Jordan

Kuwait City, August 18 (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti table tennis team in the under-11 category won the gold medal in the girls’ doubles event at the West Asia Championship currently being held in Jordan. Players Sheikha Al-Ali and Hayat Salah secured the gold medal after defeating the Saudi Arabian team 3-0 in the final match of the doubles competition. Kuwait is participating in the championship across various age categories for boys and girls, including the open category, under-19, under-17, under-15, under-13, and under-11. The championship, which will conclude on Thursday, sees wide participation from the national teams of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
