Six Palestinians martyred and others injured in new Israeli occupation massacre west of Gaza

Gaza, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- The health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that six Palestinians, including a child, were killed and others were injured in a new massacre carried out by Israeli occupation aircraft, which targeted a café at the Fishermen’s Port in western Gaza City.

In a press statement, the health authorities said that six Palestinian martyrs and 14 injured people arrived at the emergency department of Al-Shifa Medical Complex as a result of the Israeli occupation’s shelling of Gaza’s port.

Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a café located at Gaza’s maritime port, resulting in the martyrdom of six Palestinians and injuring several others with wounds of varying severity, including critical cases.

The witnesses added that civil defense and ambulance crews transported several of the injured to hospitals in Gaza City, while ambulances and civilian vehicles arrived sequentially at Al-Shifa Hospital to provide treatment to the injured.

They clarified that several bodies had fallen into the port basin due to the intensity of the shelling, while civil defense teams continued efforts to recover them and search for missing persons at the targeted site.

This massacre comes as Israeli occupation aircraft continue to target scattered areas of the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions in the Strip amid the ongoing aggression and blockade. (End) and a.b./m.a.h.a.
