The Kingdom of Bahrain condemns the aggressive Iranian attack on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Manama, August 18 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and deep disapproval today, Tuesday, of the aggressive Iranian attack that targeted the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq and the residence of the Protection Agency director in Erbil province, using two drones. In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the incident as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, and as a serious violation of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness. The ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, and its support for all measures aimed at preserving Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and safeguarding the security and stability of the Kurdistan region, thereby contributing to de-escalation and enhancing security and stability in the region.
