(Ministry of Interior): 74 violators and wanted persons apprehended in a raid in Fahaheel in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour

Kuwait City, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, conducted an inspection campaign in the Fahaheel area, covering the industrial zone and commercial markets, which resulted in the apprehension of 68 violators of the residency and labor laws and six wanted individuals.

In a press statement on Monday, the Ministry of Interior said that the campaign, carried out by the Criminal Security Sector represented by the General Administration of Criminal Investigations (Residency Affairs Investigation Department), is part of continuous security efforts to apprehend violators of the residency and labor laws and wanted persons.

The statement detailed that the campaign resulted in the apprehension of 36 violators of Article 18, 30 violators of Article 20, and six cases of desertion for which arrest warrants had been issued under Article 20, in addition to one violator of Article 14 and another of Article 22.

It added that the appropriate legal and administrative measures were taken against all violators, paving the way for their referral to the competent authorities. (End) E.J.R. / A.M.H.
