The Muslim World League condemns the Israeli occupation's rejection of the Gaza conflict resolution roadmap

Riyadh, August 16 (KUNA) -- The Muslim World League strongly condemned on Sunday Israel’s explicit rejection of the Road Map, which is intended to complete the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, as endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, as well as Israel’s refusal to establish a Palestinian state. In a statement, the League’s Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, denounced this rejection, describing it as a continuation of Israel’s escalating policies of violating international laws and resolutions and undermining all peace efforts. He stressed the necessity of compelling Israel to fully comply with the obligations outlined in the US President’s comprehensive plan and its accompanying Road Map, to advance the implementation of the second phase of the plan, and to prevent any party from obstructing its execution. Al-Issa commended the statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, which supported the Road Map, expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, and reaffirmed their right to establish an independent, sovereign state in accordance with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, as the sole path to achieving just and lasting peace in the region.
