Food Authority: 40 violations recorded and 5 food establishments shut down during surveillance campaigns in Al-Jahra Governorate
Kuwait City, Aug 16 (KUNA) — The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Sunday that it had recorded 40 various violations in Al-Jahra Governorate, the most prominent of which involved the display and marketing of food items unfit for human consumption. Legal measures were taken against the violating establishments, including the closure of five food facilities.
In a press statement, the Authority said these actions were carried out as part of periodic supervisory campaigns conducted by its inspection monitoring team in Al-Jahra Governorate, targeting warehouses and factories in the area to ensure compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements approved by the Authority.
It reaffirmed its ongoing, regular, and periodic supervisory efforts across all food establishments to ensure adherence to health standards and approved regulations, thereby enhancing food safety levels and protecting consumer health. (End) S.S. / A.A.H.
