Lebanon: Death toll from Israeli occupation airstrikes in the south rises to 11 killed and 19 wounded
Beirut, August 15 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced that the toll from Israeli occupation airstrikes on southern villages and towns on Saturday rose to 11 dead and 19 wounded, including children and women. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the final toll from the strike on the town of Deir al-Zaharani in the Nabatieh District was four dead and 17 wounded, including one child and 11 women, bringing the total daily toll to 11 dead and 19 wounded when including victims of the strike on Ansar. On the ground, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that occupation forces carried out widespread bombing operations targeting the city of Bint Jbeil and the town of Talousa in the Marjayoun District, as well as Al-Mashaa, located between the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, south of the city of Sidon. The agency added that the towns of Brouschit, Mansouri, and Sarbineh came under Israeli artillery fire, while an Israeli occupation drone dropped a sound bomb over Brouschit in southern Lebanon.
