GCC Secretary-General Condemns Continued Iranian Attacks on ADNOC Tankers and Commercial Ships in the Strait of Hormuz
Riyadh, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed his strong condemnation and outrage today, Saturday, over the continued and repeated Iranian attacks on ADNOC tankers and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that these brazen targeting operations constitute an unacceptable escalation and a serious violation of the security and safety of maritime navigation, emphasizing the need for Iran to immediately halt all hostile acts threatening security and stability in the region and worldwide. Al-Budaiwi called on the international community to pressure Iran to stop these hostile actions, reaffirming the GCC’s full and firm solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its steadfast support for all measures taken by the UAE to safeguard its security, territorial sovereignty, and interests.
