State of Kuwait strongly condemns and denounces the Iranian attack on a vessel belonging to the UAE's ADNOC

Kuwait City, August 15 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attack on a vessel belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, in a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry emphasized that the recurrence of such attacks constitutes a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade. It reiterated its call for the immediate cessation of all escalatory actions and for full compliance with international law rules that guarantee freedom of navigation. The ministry also reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures undertaken by the UAE to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and defend its interests.
