UAE Foreign Minister reaffirms his country's solidarity with Kuwait following the thwarting of a terrorist plot
Abu Dhabi, August 14 (KUNA) -- UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed the UAE’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for the measures taken by Kuwaiti security agencies to thwart a terrorist plot targeting a critical facility and to arrest a Kuwaiti national who had joined the ISIS terrorist organization.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for all steps Kuwait takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, stability, and the well-being of its society. He praised the competence and vigilance of Kuwaiti security agencies and their success in uncovering this ISIS-linked plot and taking legal action against its members.
He stressed the UAE’s firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and organizations linked to external agendas, emphasizing the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to counter these threats.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also affirmed that Kuwait’s security is an integral part of the security of the UAE and the Gulf Arab countries, reiterating his country’s full support for all measures Kuwait undertakes to preserve its security and stability and protect its national achievements.
