President of the Arab Parliament Condemns Terrorist Plot to Target a Vital Facility in Kuwait

Cairo, August 14 (KUNA) -- Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi on Friday condemned a terrorist plot targeting a key facility in Kuwait, praising the vigilance of Kuwaiti security agencies and their ability to apprehend a Kuwaiti national who had joined the ISIS terrorist group before the plot could be carried out. In a statement, Al-Yamahi expressed the Arab Parliament’s full support for the measures undertaken by Kuwait to safeguard its national security, reaffirming the absolute rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism, and criminal plots aimed at the security and stability of Arab states. Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced last Wednesday that it had thwarted a terrorist plot targeting a key national facility and arrested a citizen affiliated with ISIS prior to its execution, following precise security surveillance and monitoring.
