OIC warns of the escalating severity of crimes committed by the occupation and settlers in the West Bank
Jeddah, August 13 (KUNA) – The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) warned today, Thursday, of the danger posed by the escalating pace of organized terrorism carried out by extremist settler groups, protected by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, including the ongoing siege and aggression against the town of Qusra, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, which has persisted for several days.
In a statement, the OIC General Secretariat affirmed that this constitutes an extension of the crimes of killing, settlement expansion, annexation, and destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, as well as the targeting of refugee camps and attempts to displace the Palestinian people, in blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
It also renewed its call on the international community to take all possible diplomatic, legal, and economic measures to pressure the Israeli occupation to halt these systematic crimes, emphasizing the necessity of activating international justice mechanisms to hold accountable those responsible for these crimes under international criminal law.
