Second Palestinian Martyrdom in New Israeli Occupation Airstrike on Gaza

Gaza, August 13 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian was martyred and two others were critically injured today, Thursday, as a result of an Israeli occupation aircraft strike that targeted a vehicle on Al-Rashid Street near the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City.

Local and internal security authorities in Gaza said in a press statement that the assassination targeted Colonel Jamal Abu Kamel, after Israeli occupation aircraft struck his vehicle with three missiles, causing it to catch fire. He was killed instantly, and two other Palestinians were critically injured. Palestinian Red Crescent Society ambulance crews transported the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Previously, a Palestinian was martyred and another was seriously injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted an electric bicycle in Khan Younis city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

This comes as Israeli occupation forces continue their bombing and shooting operations in various areas of the Gaza Strip, in continuous violations of the ceasefire, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of several Palestinians.

According to the latest statistics from the Gaza health authorities, the number of martyrs since the ceasefire entered into force on October 11, 2025, has risen to 1,259, with 4,148 injured. The number of bodies recovered reached 808 as of yesterday, Wednesday. (End) ab / T.M.A
