Dozens of settlers breach Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ramallah, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Dozens of settlers breached the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound today, Thursday, through the Maghariba Gate under heavy protection from the occupation forces, which imposed strict military restrictions on Palestinians. The Jerusalem Governorate said in a press statement that 186 settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation troops, while 257 others entered under the guise of “tourism” organized and supervised by the occupation authorities. It added that settlers, led by extremist Yehuda Glick, performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern plaza opposite the Dome of the Rock. It also highlighted the provocative behavior of the settlers inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, with dozens of them prostrating themselves in the mosque’s courtyards during the raid, on the eve of the start of a new “Hebrew month.” (End) N.Q. / G.A.
