Bahraini Minister of Information and Director General of the Gulf Radio and Television Authority discuss ways to develop Gulf media cooperation

Manama, Aug 12 (KUNA) -- Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al-Naemi, held talks today with Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Hazaa, Director General of the Gulf Radio and Television Corporation, on enhancing Gulf media cooperation and developing its content to strengthen its presence at both the regional and international levels, in line with the shared goals and aspirations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and their fraternal peoples.

The discussions took place during Dr. Al-Naemi’s reception of Dr. Al-Hazaa on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he congratulated him on assuming his new position and wished him success in carrying out his duties and continuing his contributions to the development of the joint Gulf media framework.

Dr. Al-Naemi emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting all efforts and initiatives aimed at strengthening joint Gulf media work and highlighting the shared cultural identity of the GCC member states. He commended the role played by the Gulf Radio and Television Corporation in this regard and its efforts to consolidate cooperation and coordination among Gulf media institutions.

For his part, Dr. Al-Hazaa praised the progress and prosperity achieved by the media in the Kingdom of Bahrain, appreciating the vital role undertaken by the Ministry of Information in supporting communication and media coordination among GCC member states.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Al-Hazaa presented Minister Al-Naemi with a copy of his book, “I Was There: A 41-Year Journey in Media,” which recounts key milestones from his extensive media career.

The Bahraini Minister of Information commended this publication for its documentary and informational value, rooted in a long-standing media experience, and wished Dr. Al-Hazaa continued success, excellence, and productivity. (End) KH N A / R J
