Emirati President Discusses Regional Developments and Bilateral Relations with Bahrain's King

Abu Dhabi, August 12 (KUNA) -- The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, held talks today on Wednesday regarding the fraternal relations between the two countries, various avenues of cooperation and joint efforts, and ways to enhance collaboration across all fields, particularly in economic and developmental areas. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that these discussions took place during Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s reception of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who is paying a fraternal visit to the UAE. The agency added that both sides reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the developments in the Middle East region and the efforts undertaken to enhance regional stability and security, in the interest of all the peoples and states of the region. Both sides expressed their pride in the solid fraternal relations binding the two countries, reaffirming their commitment to continuing to strengthen joint cooperation in light of the shared challenges facing the region, which require solidarity and collaboration to confront. For his part, the King of Bahrain appreciated the UAE’s steadfast fraternal positions toward the Kingdom of Bahrain under all circumstances, which have contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s efforts and its capacity to face various challenges.
