Egyptian Red Crescent: Dispatch of 2,741 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

Cairo, Aug 12 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Red Crescent announced on Wednesday the dispatch of approximately 2,741 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of the “Zaad al-Azza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, in line with its role as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to the Strip. The Red Crescent stated in a press release that the convoy’s 254 trucks, carrying food baskets, flour, relief supplies, medical equipment, and petroleum products necessary to power hospitals and vital facilities in the Gaza Strip, had set off toward Gaza. It reaffirmed its ongoing readiness since the onset of the crisis across all logistical centers, highlighting its continuous efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian and relief aid exceeding one million tons, supported by more than 75,000 volunteers.
