Bahrain's National Security Advisor and UK Deputy Chief of the General Staff discuss joint cooperation

Manama, August 11 (KUNA) – Kuwait National News Agency – Bahrain’s National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, held talks with Lieutenant General Sir Charlie Collins, Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff for Strategy and Operations in the United Kingdom, to discuss areas of joint cooperation that serve the shared interests of the two countries.

The Bahrain News Agency reported that Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized, during his meeting with the British military official on Tuesday, the deep historical and strategic ties between the two nations. He praised the close and evolving bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in the military and defense sectors, and highlighted the Comprehensive Agreement for Security Integration and Prosperity as a key pillar for strengthening their strategic partnership.

The meeting also covered ways to enhance coordination and consultation on various challenges, along with an exchange of views on major regional and international developments that contribute to supporting security and stability.

In the same context, the Bahrain News Agency stated that Bahrain’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Diab Al-Nuaimi, reviewed with Sir Charlie Collins and members of the accompanying delegation the existing military cooperation between the two friendly countries and its progress and growth across various fields.
