GCC Secretary-General Discusses Latest Developments of the Gulf-U.S. Investment Dialogue Forum with a Senior U.S. Business Official

Riyadh, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- Jassim Al-Bedaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held talks today with Jason Pontien, Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Middle East and North Africa, on the latest developments regarding the GCC-U.S. Investment Dialogue.

The GCC Secretariat General said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call between the two sides, who expressed their hope that the upcoming dialogue would contribute to strengthening investment and economic relations between the GCC member states and the United States.

Al-Bedaiwi clarified that the GCC states look forward to discussing a number of topics during the sixth dialogue, including facilitating trade and investment, the digital economy, cybersecurity, agriculture, food security, resilient supply chains, advanced and green infrastructure, industrial and technological cooperation, as well as intellectual property.
