Kuwait's Ambassador to Armenia Emphasizes the Importance of Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Kuwait City, August 11 (KUNA) – Kuwait’s Ambassador to Armenia, Mohammed Al-Arefan, underscored today the importance of leveraging opportunities to bolster bilateral cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration amid the rapid global developments. This statement was issued by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Yerevan following a meeting held by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to Armenia, on the occasion of his reappointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

Ambassador Al-Arefan congratulated Pashinyan on this occasion, conveying the congratulations of the Kuwaiti leadership and wishing him success and prosperity in continuing his duties, as well as lasting peace, stability, development, and prosperity for the friendly Republic of Armenia and its people. He reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to further strengthening and developing bilateral relations with the Republic of Armenia, elevating them to broader horizons that serve the common interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

He emphasized the importance of capitalizing on available opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore collaborative prospects in various fields, particularly technology, artificial intelligence, transport, and regional connectivity, thereby contributing to economic development and the realization of shared interests between the two countries.

For his part, the Armenian Prime Minister highlighted the importance of strengthening Armenian-Arab relations and expanding cooperation with Arab states, outlining regional developments and the efforts made to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He also stressed the significance of the regional connectivity project and opening new avenues for economic and trade cooperation. Furthermore, he pointed to the ongoing preparations for Armenia to host the United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP17) next October, noting that it represents an opportunity to enhance international cooperation in the fields of environment, climate, and sustainable development.
