Information Technology organizes a workshop to review partnership agreements with Google Cloud and Microsoft

Kuwait City, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) organized a workshop today to review recent developments and projects stemming from strategic partnership agreements with Google Cloud and Microsoft, aimed at supporting comprehensive digital transformation and adopting best practices that enhance government operations.

The workshop, held at CAIT’s headquarters, focused on two main pillars: developments in contracts with Microsoft and Google Cloud, and the identification of their respective projects, as well as training and capacity-building for government personnel.

Acting Director General of CAIT, Najah Ibrahim, told KUNA that the workshop was organized to continue efforts toward the successful implementation of the National Program for Developing Digital Skills in the country, which includes executing a comprehensive roadmap for digital transformation.

She added that the workshop served as a window to review updates on future agreements and assess the outcomes of implemented projects, while also discussing new future projects with Google Cloud and Microsoft in the fields of digital transformation, information technology, training, and human resource development within government entities and state-owned companies.

Ibrahim noted that the workshop provided an opportunity for representatives of government entities and trainees to exchange views on how to utilize previously launched government platforms and to identify key challenges associated with these initiatives, so they can be addressed in the future to ensure the sustainability of digital transformation and achieve a secure and innovative digital environment.

She emphasized the necessity of cooperation between government entities and state-owned companies to elevate services in the fields of digital transformation and information technology through the exchange of expertise and shared experiences.

Ibrahim reaffirmed CAIT’s continued commitment to identifying the information technology and digital transformation needs of government entities, expressing the agency’s full readiness to train and qualify government personnel to enhance their capabilities and professional competencies.

This workshop follows ongoing collaborative efforts by government entities to ensure the success of the National Program for Developing Digital Skills in the country, which includes implementing a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap through strategic partnership agreements with Google Cloud and Microsoft. These agreements involve platforms that contribute to creating a practical, secure, and innovative digital environment.

The agreements signed by the State of Kuwait, represented by CAIT, with Microsoft and Google Cloud, provide a framework to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation projects, leverage cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, and enhance the readiness of government entities.
