Egypt: Dispatch of 10 tons of medicines to Lebanon to support the health sector

Cairo, Aug 10 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Monday, the dispatch of a new shipment of medicines weighing approximately 10 tons to Lebanon, in support of the Lebanese health sector. The ministry stated in a press release that this move reflects Egypt’s commitment to continuing its support and assistance to Lebanon, in line with directives issued by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the matter. The statement clarified that this shipment is part of the ongoing Egyptian aid to Lebanon, which has totaled 1,100 tons of relief and humanitarian supplies since 2024, underscoring Egypt’s steadfast solidarity with the Lebanese people and its dedication to bolstering the capacities of the Lebanese state and addressing its humanitarian and health needs. Egypt reaffirmed its continued support for Lebanon, aimed at alleviating the burdens on the Lebanese people and strengthening Lebanese state institutions in confronting current challenges.
