First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Attends Graduation Ceremony of the Eighth Batch of Investigators from the General Directorate of Investigations
Kuwait City, 10 Aug (KUNA) -- The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, today Monday attended the graduation ceremony of the eighth batch of investigators from the General Investigations Department, comprising 486 graduates.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized in his speech at the ceremony that investigative work is a national responsibility and a trust that demands integrity, impartiality, and strict adherence to the application of the law with full fairness and objectivity, thereby ensuring the revelation of the truth, the protection of rights, and the achievement of justice.
He stressed that Kuwait places its trust in its graduate sons and daughters, and that “they must live up to this trust and responsibility, making justice and the law the foundation of their duties, and applying the provisions of the law to everyone without exception.” He affirmed that “there is no distinction between the powerful and the weak, nor between those in positions of authority and others.”
For his part, Director General of the General Investigations Department, Major General and legal expert Dr. Faisal Al-Mukarrad, said in a similar speech, according to the statement, that the role played by investigators in the justice system and law enforcement is crucial, and that they bear the responsibility of carrying out their duties with utmost honesty and integrity.
The graduates of the eighth batch took the legal oath before the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The oath was administered by Public Prosecutor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharqawi, marking the beginning of their professional careers and the assumption of their duties as investigators (Grade C).
Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab and Major General Al-Mukarrad attended the oath-taking ceremony.
The batch included 486 graduates, comprising 307 males, including 35 officers, and 179 females, including four female officers. Notably, this batch marked the first time that members of the Women’s Police Force graduated to work in the field of investigations, a step that enhances the participation of female cadres in this sector.
