(Ministry of Interior): Person arrested for running a marijuana farm, with 6 kilograms of cannabis ready for distribution in his possession
Kuwait City, Aug 10 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the arrest of a Kuwaiti national in the Doha area who was running a marijuana farm, with 6 kilograms of marijuana, cultivation tools, 250 grams of hashish, and 17,820 Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $58,000 US dollars) in his possession. In a press statement, the ministry said the arrest followed the completion of investigative and surveillance procedures by the General Directorate of Combating Narcotics, which led to the identification of the farm’s location and the seizure of the suspect, the drugs, the cultivation equipment, and the cash. It added that surveillance and investigative operations revealed that the suspect had cultivated marijuana and possessed narcotics “with the intent to traffic and consume.” The suspect and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal action against him.
