UK: Kuwaiti delegation (Integration Journey) concludes participation in the summer program of the Gulf Academy for Leadership and Innovation
London, August 9 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Academy for Leadership and Innovation (GALI) concluded its summer program in Britain today with a closing ceremony held at the University of Reading, west of London, attended by a delegation from the “Willpower Journey” program for individuals with strong will, led by Meshal Al-Kalib, a member of the Capital Governorate Council.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Kalib said that the participation of the Kuwaiti delegation in this program reflects the importance of empowering, including, and integrating persons with disabilities in international forums, especially with the presence of prominent international figures. She considered that opening wider avenues for the active participation of individuals from this group in various fields enhances their presence and highlights their capabilities and personal achievements, thereby reinforcing the idea that true integration is a partnership based on equal opportunities and active participation in shaping the future.
On this occasion, she expressed her great gratitude and appreciation to all those who contribute to supporting the path of integration and empowerment, and to consolidating a societal culture that views difference as a source of strength, creativity, and achievement. Al-Kalib specifically highlighted the Gulf Academy, under the leadership of Saad Al-Tamimi, for its significant and distinguished role in achieving these objectives.
The closing ceremony was attended by Jassem Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
It is worth noting that the summer program, which launched last Tuesday, featured a number of events and activities aimed at developing leadership and innovative skills, thereby contributing to enhancing self-confidence and honing capabilities, in addition to exchanging experiences and consolidating the concept of social integration and empowering individuals with strong will to participate in leadership and developmental programs at the international level.
The program included 100 promising individuals from various GCC countries, providing opportunities for direct interaction with leaders and experts, as well as participation in interactive dialogues, workshops, and field visits. (End) M.R.N. / M.A.H.A.
