Bahrain and Jordan Foreign Ministers Discuss Efforts to Preserve Regional Security and Stability

Manama, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani held talks with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi today on Saturday regarding efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the two ministers discussed during a telephone call the latest developments in the regional situation and the safeguarding of freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as exchanging views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation and coordination to enhance joint Arab action and continuing consultations on regional and international issues under discussion by the UN Security Council. The call also covered the strong fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the advanced level of bilateral cooperation achieved across all fields, which serves common interests and objectives.
