Jeddah, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman said on Friday that the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement among Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey solidifies a framework for a long-term defense partnership. Prince Khalid bin Salman, via his official account on the X platform, clarified that the agreement “enhances deterrence, coordination, and integration among our brotherly countries and contributes to supporting the security and stability of the region and the world.” Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement in Mecca earlier today, reflecting the three countries’ commitment to strengthening their shared security and achieving peace, security, and stability in the region and the world, with the aim of fostering a secure and prosperous future. The agreement aims to bolster joint deterrence against any aggression and stipulates that any armed attack on any of the three countries constitutes an attack on all of them.
