Bahrain condemns terrorist bombing targeting a passenger bus near Damascus

Manama, August 6 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and deep outrage today, Thursday, over the “sinful terrorist” bombing that targeted a passenger bus with an improvised explosive device in the Jarmana area, on the outskirts of Damascus, Syria, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several people. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the Syrian government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. The ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic and its support for the measures undertaken by the Syrian government to consolidate the country’s security and stability, and to preserve Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It reiterated the Kingdom’s firm and unwavering stance rejecting acts of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability and terrorizing innocent civilians. (End) K.N.A. / H.S.S.
