Coalition Leadership: 11 Civilians Injured in Najran, Saudi Arabia, Due to Terrorious Houthi Attacks

Riyadh, 6 Aug (KUNA) -- The official spokesperson for the coalition forces (the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen), Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, announced on Thursday that 11 civilians were injured in the Najran region in southern Saudi Arabia as a result of attacks carried out by the so-called Houthi militia.

In a statement, Al-Maliki said the injured included seven Saudis, among them a woman and a four-year-old child who suffered second-degree burns, as well as two Yemenis, two Egyptians, and one Pakistani, following the attacks that took place on Thursday.

He added that the Houthi militia had used indiscriminate projectiles targeting civilian properties, emphasizing that this constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules through the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki stressed that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition would continue to take deterrent measures against these terrorist attacks to ensure the protection of citizens. (End)
