Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters Launches Children's Creators Club as Part of the "Summer Cultural Festival 18" Events
Kuwait City, August 6 (KUNA) — The Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters launched today, Thursday, the Creatives Club for Children, as part of the 18th edition of the Summer Cultural Festival, accompanied by an exhibition of children’s books featuring stories and tales. The club, which runs until August 23, is organized in line with the Council’s commitment to making productive use of the summer holidays by providing an interactive environment that fosters children’s creative and intellectual skills and instills a passion for reading and exploration through a diverse range of specialized workshops and cultural activities.
The club’s activities began with the “Gardener” workshop, led by trainer Dr. Nour Al-Mutawa, aimed at introducing children to the basics of gardening and plant care. This was followed by the “Author” workshop, conducted by trainer Abrar Al-Buwaiss, which focuses on developing storytelling skills and shaping creative ideas.
The club’s program also includes the “Artist” workshop, led by trainer Farah Al-Qinaai, to enhance artistic expression through colors; the “Feelings Journal” workshop, led by trainer Eiman Al-Hajeri, to help children identify and express their emotions through writing; and the “Chef” workshop, led by trainer Sumaya Al-Obeid, which teaches basic cooking skills in an interactive manner. Additionally, the “Storyteller” workshop, led by trainer Amal Al-Randawi, revives the art of oral storytelling and narrative.
Other activities include the “Designer” workshop, led by trainer Dalal Bursali, which introduces children to the basics of color coordination and design, and the “Little Speaker” workshop, led by trainer Sara Al-Daihani, aimed at developing public speaking, communication, and self-expression skills with confidence.
The Creatives Club seeks to provide a nurturing environment that refines children’s skills and inspires their talents across various creative fields. It encourages families and parents to take advantage of the workshops and the accompanying exhibition, which contribute to building a generation of young readers and creators and strengthening their presence in the cultural landscape from an early age.
