Algerian Foreign Minister Discusses with Belarusian President Strengthening Bilateral Relations Between the Two Countries

Algiers, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held talks today, Thursday, with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and to elevate them to broader horizons. The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the meeting between the two sides took place in the capital, Minsk, as part of Attaf’s official visit to Belarus. It added that the two sides reviewed the development of bilateral relations in light of the progress made in implementing the outcomes of President Lukashenko’s official visit to Algeria in December 2025, emphasizing the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Attaf stressed in a statement after the meeting the progress achieved in implementing bilateral commitments, underscoring the commitment of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Belarusian counterpart to elevate relations to wider levels that serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
