Emirati President and Canadian Prime Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Abu Dhabi, August 5 (KUNA) -- UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on various aspects of bilateral relations and joint efforts to strengthen them, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and other vital areas that serve mutual development and the shared interests of the two countries. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that this came during a phone call on Wednesday, during which both sides praised the successful conclusion of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, which was finalized in record time, underscoring their mutual commitment to continuing to enhance the development of bilateral relations and their shared vision of elevating them to new horizons of economic and investment cooperation. The agency added that the two sides reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest during the call and exchanged views on them, foremost among which were developments in the Middle East region and efforts to enhance security, stability, and peace in the region, in a manner that serves the interests, development, and prosperity of all its peoples.
