Doha, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held talks today with U.S. President Donald Trump on the latest regional developments. The Qatari Diwan Amiri said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call initiated by the Emir of Qatar with the U.S. President, during which they reviewed the latest regional developments, particularly the efforts to de-escalate tensions between the United States and Iran and to bridge differences between them, thereby enhancing the prospects of reaching a sustainable diplomatic settlement to the crisis.
