Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey condemn Israeli occupation violations in Gaza and warn against undermining the de-escalation process

Cairo, Aug 3 (KUNA) – Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, in their capacity as intermediary states, expressed their strong condemnation and rejection today, Monday, of the ongoing violations by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, which have targeted health facilities and infrastructure, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children.

In a joint statement, the three countries warned that the continuation of these violations constitutes a breach of the ceasefire agreement and threatens the de-escalation process, calling on the Israeli occupation to respect the principles of international law and fully honor its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.

The statement added that the continued violations by the occupation undermine efforts to implement the second phase of the agreement and threaten the prospects of stabilizing the de-escalation and maintaining the negotiation track.

The intermediary states renewed their call to ensure full protection for civilians, medical facilities, and humanitarian workers, and to guarantee the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies to all parts of the Gaza Strip.

They called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and exert the necessary pressure on the Israeli occupation to fulfill its obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement. (End) M.M. / M.A. H.A.
