(Ministry of Public Works) holds a meeting to discuss the route and stations of truck weighing, attended by relevant authorities

Kuwait City, 3 Aug (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Public Works, represented by its Roads Engineering Department, held a meeting attended by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Municipality, the General Customs Authority, and the Kuwait Ports Authority, to discuss agreements and the design of truck weighing routes and their associated facilities in Kuwait.

In a press statement on Monday, the ministry said that its Design Department prepared a terms of reference document outlining a comprehensive study of the stations, facilities, and routes required for trucks in Kuwait. A visual presentation was delivered, detailing the project’s strategic objectives, the scope of the study, and the expected outputs and outcomes.

It was noted that the requirements and observations of each attending entity were discussed, and it was agreed to hold periodic coordination meetings to finalize the comprehensive framework agreement for the truck weighing system study.

Kuwait is witnessing rapid urban expansion and a continuous increase in road transport activity. In line with its plan, the ministry is working to improve, construct, and maintain asphalt on main roads. (End) M.S.A. / H.A.
