Death Toll from Suicide Attack on Kapala Police Station in Pakistan Rises to 15 Killed and 25 Injured

Islamabad, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- The death toll from a suicide bombing at the Kapala police station in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province rose to 15 killed and 25 injured earlier on Sunday. Svat Police Chief Omar Khan said in a statement that the suicide attack earlier today resulted in the deaths of 15 people, including six Pakistani police officers, as well as 25 injured. Khan reiterated that the suicide bomber detonated himself when security personnel attempted to search him at the gate of the Kapala police station in the district. Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sorrow and regret over the suicide attack, offering heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.
