Amiri Decree Issued Promoting Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi to the Rank of Major General in the Police Force and Appointing Him as Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior

Kuwait City, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- An emiri decree was issued today, Sunday, promoting Brigadier General Fawaz Nasser Hamad Al-Rumai to the rank of Major General in the Police Force and appointing him as Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior. The text of the decree follows:

Decree No. 124 of 2026 on promoting a Brigadier General in the Police Force to the rank of Major General and appointing him as Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior

Having reviewed the Constitution;

Having reviewed the Emiri Order issued on 2 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1445 AH, corresponding to May 10, 2024;

Having reviewed Law No. 23 of 1968 concerning the Police Force system, and its amendments;

Having reviewed Legislative Decree No. 15 of 1979 concerning the Civil Service, and its amendments;

Having reviewed the Decree issued on 7 Jada al-Awwal 1399 AH, corresponding to April 4, 1979, concerning the Civil Service system, and its amendments;

Based on the proposal submitted by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior;

And after approval by the Council of Ministers, we have decreed as follows:

Article 1

Brigadier General Fawaz Nasser Hamad Al-Rumai is promoted to the rank of Major General in the Police Force and appointed as Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior.

Article 2

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shall execute this decree, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
