Qatari Prime Minister Discusses Regional Developments with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Saudi Foreign Minister

Doha, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today held talks with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Ayman Safadi, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on the latest regional developments.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in two separate releases that these discussions took place during a phone call between the parties, during which they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
The ministry conveyed the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s emphasis during the calls on the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and reinforce regional stability.
He reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region. (End) S S S / N S A
