Algeria condemns and denounces the targeting of two ships in the port of Damietta, Egypt

Algiers, July 30 (KUNA) -- Algeria strongly condemned and denounced on Thursday the targeting of two ships in the port of Damietta, Egypt, by a drone, reaffirming its full solidarity with Egypt. In a statement, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “This attack constitutes a heinous act that constitutes an aggression against the sovereignty of this fraternal country and a threat to its security and stability.” The statement added that “this attack is a dangerous attempt to expand the scope of the regional conflict raging in the area.” Algeria expressed its full solidarity with Egypt, supporting the measures and steps it is taking to protect its interests, security, and stability.
