Kuwait's Ambassador to Yemen Presents Credentials to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council

Aden, July 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi on Thursday.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Ambassador Al-Mutairi said he conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, from His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, may God protect him. He conveyed their best wishes for good health and happiness to Chairman Al-Alimi, and for the Republic of Yemen and its fraternal people, for security, prosperity, and flourishing.

He praised the deep historical fraternal relations between Kuwait and Yemen, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening cooperation and ties between the two countries across various political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of both nations and their fraternal peoples.

He affirmed that Kuwait supports Yemen’s security, unity, and stability, and backs all efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement and achieving peace in accordance with mutually agreed local references, supported regionally and internationally, namely the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among which is Resolution 2216.

For his part, Chairman Al-Alimi conveyed his greetings to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, may God protect him. He extended his best wishes for good health and well-being to their Highnesses, and for Kuwait and its people, for enduring security, prosperity, and flourishing under its wise leadership.

He affirmed Yemen’s firm and principled stance condemning Iranian aggressive attacks on Kuwait and its vital civilian and economic installations, considering them a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and Arab national security. He emphasized Yemen’s solidarity and steadfast support, heart and soul, alongside Kuwait and its leadership to protect its security and sovereignty and defend its interests.

He praised the strong historical fraternal relations between the two fraternal countries, and Kuwait’s support for Yemen’s unity, security, and stability, as well as its valued contributions in supporting the Yemeni people in political, economic, and humanitarian fields amid the current circumstances.

He affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government to provide facilitations to the Kuwaiti ambassador to ensure the success of his mission in enhancing and developing relations between the two fraternal countries and serving their common interests.
