Qatar condemns renewed Iranian attacks on Kuwait and Jordan

Doha, July 30 (KUNA) -- Qatar strongly condemned the renewed Iranian Islamic Republic attacks on the territories of both the sister State of Kuwait and the sister Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, deeming them a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, as well as a flagrant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness. In a statement issued on Thursday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region. The ministry stressed the urgent need for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening the region’s security and stability, and for refraining from any measures that could widen the scope of escalation, while returning seriously to the path of dialogue and negotiations and adhering to the understandings reached through diplomatic efforts. Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with the sister State of Kuwait and the sister Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its support for all measures they undertake to safeguard their sovereignty and security.
