Bahraini Crown Prince Discusses Regional and International Developments with British Prime Minister

Manama, July 30 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham today, Thursday, to discuss the latest developments in regional and international affairs and issues of mutual interest. The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported that Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized the prominent role of the United Kingdom, alongside sister and friendly countries, in strengthening the pillars of security, peace, and development in the region and worldwide. He also congratulated Mr. Burnham on his appointment as Prime Minister, reaffirming the deep-rooted historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are based on solid foundations of cooperation, coordination, and partnership across all fields. He noted the mutual commitment to advancing bilateral relations to higher levels of distinction, thereby contributing to the realization of the shared aspirations of the two countries and their peoples.
