Oman's Sultan and British Prime Minister discuss regional developments and ways to prevent escalation

Muscat, July 30 (KUNA) -- Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman today, Thursday, held talks with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on developments in the region and on measures to achieve de-escalation and prevent further escalation, in order to lay the foundations for peace and security. The Omani News Agency reported that the telephone discussions also covered ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries, thereby strengthening shared interests, opening broader horizons for cooperation, and supporting the aspirations of the peoples of both nations for further progress.
