Yemeni government condemns Iranian missile attack on Jordan

Aden, July 29 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni government strongly condemned on Wednesday the Iranian missile attack targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming that it constitutes a blatant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious escalation that undermines regional peace and security.

In a statement, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Yemen’s full solidarity with Jordan and its steadfast support for the Hashemite Kingdom in all lawful measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens. The statement praised the competence and vigilance of the Jordanian Armed Forces in repelling this aggression.

The statement further emphasized that the Iranian regime’s continued pursuit of escalation policies, attacks on neighboring states, and use of brute force to threaten regional security necessitate a firmer international stance to deter such destabilizing behaviors and eliminate the sources that undermine international peace and security.
