Turkish Central Bank and its Syrian counterpart sign a deposit agreement in Turkish lira

Istanbul, July 29 (KUNA) -- The Central Bank of Turkey and its Syrian counterpart signed an agreement on a deposit account in Turkish lira today, Wednesday. The Turkish central bank said in a statement published on its website that the agreement aims to open a deposit account in Turkish lira in the name of the Central Bank of Syria. The statement added that the agreement was signed by Fatih Karahan, Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, and Mohammad Safwat Rusal, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria. (End) TA / AS
