Qatari Prime Minister Discusses Regional Developments with German Foreign Minister

Doha, July 29 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held talks with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul today on the latest regional developments. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call between the two sides, during which they reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts made and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region. During the call, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and bolster regional stability.
