The White House announces the conclusion of the meeting between the US President and the Israeli Prime Minister
Washington, July 28 (KUNA) — The White House announced on Tuesday the conclusion of a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated in a post on the social media platform X that the meeting was “positive.” The White House has not yet issued a statement on the substance of the closed-door meeting, which was held without media presence and was not followed by a press conference. Meanwhile, the U.S. Fox News network cited “reports” saying the meeting focused on “the next steps following the recent U.S. strikes on Iran.” It also noted that Netanyahu was expected to “present intelligence indicating that Iran is actively working to expand its nuclear facilities,” despite Trump’s expressed optimism about diplomacy with Tehran. Earlier, President Trump had affirmed that there are currently “very friendly” negotiations between the United States and Iran. (End) R.S.R. / M.A.H.A.
