Lebanese Prime Minister Emphasizes Importance of Strengthening Arab Cooperation to Achieve Recovery and Stability

Beirut, July 28 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stressed on Tuesday the importance of enhancing Arab cooperation to achieve recovery and stability. The office of the Lebanese Prime Minister said in a statement that this remark came during Salam’s reception of the President of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash, in the presence of the UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, Fahad Al-Kaabi. The statement said that Salam emphasized during the meeting that “Lebanon’s natural place has been and will remain in its Arab depth, among its Arab brothers, and the stronger Lebanon’s ties to its Arab depth, the faster it can move forward on the path of recovery and prosperity.” Salam clarified that “the deeper Arab cooperation becomes, the greater the ability of Arab countries to achieve security and stability and safeguard the interests of their peoples.” It is worth noting that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening fraternal relations and joint coordination between Lebanon and the UAE, and supporting efforts aimed at bolstering stability and economic recovery in Lebanon.
