Speaking to reporters in Michigan, Trump said, “We are currently conducting negotiations that are very friendly,” reiterating his assertion that Iran “will never have a nuclear weapon.” He expressed his belief that “there is a good chance something will happen” regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement, adding, “If it doesn’t happen, we will go back to what we were doing two days ago,” referring to the resumption of U.S. strikes against Iran.
