(Central Agency): Opening of the electronic platform to receive applications from individuals whose citizenships were revoked under Article 5

Kuwait, July 27 (KUNA) — The Central Agency for Regularizing the Status of Illegal Residents announced the opening of its electronic platform to receive applications from individuals whose citizenship had been revoked under Article 5. In a statement issued on Monday, the agency said this step aims to complete the prescribed procedures for obtaining an official “For Whom It May Concern” certificate for cases that had not previously applied, through the electronic platform (https://es.carirs.gov.kw).

The agency clarified that the service covers “meritorious individuals, children of Kuwaiti women, and holders of the 1965 census records,” noting that applications must be submitted exclusively in the name of the individual whose revocation decree was issued, and that separate applications are not required for each dependent.

It added that if the person named in the decree has passed away, their relatives may submit the application via the electronic platform using the name and details of the deceased. The required documents and supporting materials include a copy of the civil ID; if the individual is deceased, a copy of the death certificate must also be attached.

The agency noted that, because its website is not linked to the “Sahel” application, applicants must download the “For Whom It May Concern” certificate immediately after its issuance from the website and then manually upload it through the application to complete the remaining procedures.

It further indicated that “in case of any system malfunction or technical issue during the application process, applicants should visit the Status Adjustment Department at the Central Agency for Regularizing the Status of Illegal Residents building, located in the Shuwaikh area (Al-Sawaber), to take the necessary measures.” (End) H.M.D. / T.A.B.
